Carmen Gehrke, LMHC
MH14612

Carmen Gehrke is a bilingual (Spanish) trauma counselor who works with individuals and couples to help them understand their feelings in order to cope with them. Her approach is innovative, supportive, and research-based.

Welcoming a new life to this world is an amazing experience. However, not many realize all the changes that this brings to each woman during pregnancy and postpartum. Each woman and pregnancy is unique, and whether it is the first time or not, feelings of sadness, anxiety, depression, guilt, and fear are valid and can be addressed with psychotherapy. Carmen’s work is to help you recognize and cope with these feelings with kindness and responsibility.

As a woman, mother, and professional, one of Carmen’s strengths is to use her clinical training in combination with her own life experience to empower those who seek change and healing in their lives. It is not an easy process, but it is definitely a fulfilling one.

Carmen is trained to implement cognitive behavior techniques to help you reach a balance between mind and body. She is also a certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) psychotherapist. EMDR is an innovative, effective intervention to address symptoms of trauma, PTSD, and emotional distress.

Please contact Carmen to arrange a free 15-minute phone consultation to talk more about what’s going on and how she can help you.
